Journalists' Right to Life

Stop the prevarication! When the “investigations” have to conclude!

So far, the US and Israeli governments have ignored the eyewitness testimony of the journalists who were with Shireen Abu Akleh, investigations by the Washington Post, the New York Times, Al-Jazeera, the CPJ, Bellingcat and now the United Nations Human Rights commission. Both governments await the results of “investigations” which the IDF clearly is not conducting and has no intention of concluding. The clear intent of both the Israeli government and the US State Department is that we all let the issue die as they spin wheels. We won’t.

If the US government will not investigate the murder of an American journalist, it sends clear signals to other governments that it is open season on journalists. We insist that the White House and State Department take action on the callous killing of our colleague.
