Two years ago, our foreign press colleague Jamal  Khashoggi walked into the Saudi Consulate in Ankara. The overwhelming evidence suggests that the murderers who killed and dismembered him were operating on behalf of the Crown Prince. Despite condemnation from around the world, governments and other figures have failed to hold Saudi leadership to account.
 
“The costs of effective journalism can range from rubber bullets, to poisonings to extended imprisonment and extradition. We owe it to colleagues who pay such heavy ultimate prices for doing their jobs in seeking the truth to highlight the hypocrisy of those who continue to engage with rather than call out murderers,” said Foreign Press Association President, Ian Williams,  “We should all remember Jamal Khashoggi today."
