awards ceremony postponedSacha Biazzo was our first-prize winner with the award of a $2,500 scholarship and fellowship. Sacha is an investigative journalist from Rome, Italy, and is attending Columbia School of Journalism. Teresia Nzau and Vita Dadoo were our joint runners-up with awards of $1,000. They will also become 2023 FPA fellows.
We want to take this opportunity to thank the family of Suzanne Adams, and all those who made donations in her name that helped us underwrite this year’s scholarships. We will be interviewing each of our winners on the role of objectivity and balance for the next generation of international journalists in the coming weeks. AWARDS CEREMONY POSTPONEDSince FPA president Ian Williams has been in and out of hospital over the last few weeks, we have decided to postpone our planned awards reception. Ian is slowly recovering – and joins us in congratulating our awardees. More details will follow regarding rescheduling. If you have any questions, please contact us at [email protected].
