Thanos Dimadis (www.dimadis.com), originally from Greece and Cyprus and raised in Brussels, Belgium, is a journalist and communications/media expert. As an accredited foreign correspondent in Brussels, Washington DC, and New York he covered all news related to the eurozone economy and US-EU relations. Thanos has conducted numerous interviews with major stakeholders involved with the Eurozone crisis in Europe and the US, and was the producer and presenter of the well-viewed Greek TV documentary about the Eurozone crisis. He is also the author of the best-selling book, “In the Daedalus of the Eurozone Crisis,” published in October 2014. In the fourteen years of his career in journalism, Thanos is known as one of the most active advocates of press freedom in Greece and has been diachronically fighting against the multiple attempts of several Greek Governments to intimidate journalists and manipulate the national media in the country. According to the Committee to Protect Journalists Thanos had been a victim of Greek governments efforts to censor his reporting as a foreign correspondent. Apart from his Batchelor degree studies in Journalism, (Panteion University of Social & Political Sciences of Athens), Thanos holds four master's degrees, (Political Management, George Washington University | Media, City University of London | European Law and Policy, Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences of Athens | Political Science, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens). He also graduated from the Executive Educational Program at Kennedy School of Harvard, Leadership of the 21st Century. Thanos is a member of the National Union of Journalists in Athens, the International Federation of Journalists, and he had been distinguished with an honorary scholarship from Alexander Onassis Foundation.
