Membership Payment


Membership of the Foreign Press Association USA lasts for 12 months from the date of payment. New applications and renewals can be made at any time.

There are several different tiers of membership of the organization - more information is available below. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions you may have.

Active Member - Starting at $150
​For 
credentialed U.S.-based journalist serving any type of foreign media outlet/organization for an overseas audience

Associate Member - Starting at $195
​For 
credentialed U.S.-based journalist serving any type of media organization including communications, public relations, public policy, academia, or diplomacy for an overseas audience. Not entitled to vote as full member.

U.S Press Member - Starting at $150
Same criteria as working press  only intended for U.S. based journalists not working for a Foreign Media Outlet and entitled to an active press card but not entitled to vote as a full member.

Overseas Member - Starting at $90
For press temporarily resident outside the US or who make occasional visits or who expect to return. Upon address becoming US membership will be recognized as Active Press)

Student Member - Starting at $40
Student Membership is open to all students currently ​enrolled in a U.S. school of journalism

Young Journalist Member - Starting at $50
For U.S.-based journalist under 30 serving any type of foreign media outlet/organization for an overseas audience

Editors Circle - Starting at $350
Includes special Invitations to in-person events planned for 2024
