administration withdraws proposed “I” visa regulation changes

Dear Colleagues, you might remember that last year the FPA was in the leadership of a journalists’ coalition that averted the threat of adverse changes to the “I” visa status.
For reassurance we attach the reference from the Federal Register that reaffirms that this Adminstration has withdrawn the proposals to change the regulations.

We will continue to watch for developments and welcome word from members if they hear of any similar threats.
