Claus Mueller has published numerous articles and books on communications and media issues, produced public access video-sociology programs and was consulting producer for an issue-oriented documentary acquired by the Sundance Channel. He retired from Hunter College / CUNY several years ago as a Professor Emeritus. He has been publishing reviews of film festivals, art fairs, and related issues as a New York Correspondent for the Paris-based M21 Entertainment in filmfestivals.com. Over the last decades, he has curated film and television programs for domestic and foreign festivals, served on juries on numerous film festivals, was selected for the Board of Directors by several non-profit organizations, and as an adviser to media groups such as the Asian-American TV & Film Alliance. His work has been recognized by numerous grants and awards, including two Fulbrights, election to the American Council on Germany, and listing in Marquis’ Who’s Who in America. He attended the University of Cologne, the Institut d’Etudes Politiques (Paris) and the New School for Social Research.
