Developing the Next Generation of International Reporters
Since its inception, the FPA has provided support to international reporters. To mark its 75th anniversary of the organization, the FPA Scholarship Fund was established. Over the last 23 years, thanks to the generosity of members and supporting companies, the FPA Scholarship Fund has awarded 84 scholarships to international graduate journalism students.
The FPA created its student membership category in in 2013 to provide graduate journalism students access to FPA events, benefits, and networking opportunities with international reporters in the U.S. Annual Student Membership is $25.
We are pleased to offer students a new mentoring program which connects student members with active FPA journalists who have agreed to spend time with students in a mentoring role. The mentoring program is an opportunity to discuss international journalism and career-related matters.
